Overview

The Composer Pro II paired with the Edge 35 Optic is a 35mm f/3.5 lens that offers tilt capabilities, tailor-made for photographers seeking to craft distinctive in-camera shots featuring a slice of exceptionally sharp focus and fine details, all within a broader focal range. This lens further expands upon the success of our Composer Pro II with Edge 50 and Edge 80 Optics, but with a wider focal length, enabling you to encompass more of your narrative within the frame.

With a seamless metal ball and socket design, the Composer Pro II swivels and tilts, providing an intuitive means of transitioning between traditional, straight lens photography and tilt photography. Maintain the lens in a straight position for pristine 35mm images devoid of creative effects, or, by tilting the lens, you can introduce a captivating slice of focus that traverses objects in both the foreground and background, gracefully surrounded by a soft blur. Tilt the lens upward or downward for a horizontal focus slice, or left and right for a vertical effect. A diagonal tilt produces an angled focus slice. After determining the tilt direction, a turn of the focus ring maneuvers the focus slice from one side of the frame to the other. The width of this focus slice, when tilted, varies according to the chosen aperture. Wider apertures yield a slender focus slice with abundant blur, effectively isolating the subject from its surroundings, while narrower apertures capture more of the scene in focus.
