Distilled in July 1998, this is one of 243 bottles charged from a refill Hogshead (ref. HL19620). Judging by the Laing's notes, it should be typically Arran - very fruity, quite herbal with sherbet, macerated fruits, cherry cola and incense on the palate, ending long and sweet with pleasant drying oak. 54.7% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
Stuart Laing, son of famous independent bottler, Douglas F. Laing established Hunter Laing & Co. after nearly 50 years in the industry, breaking away from his brother Fred who remains the owner of the Douglas Laing Company. Hunter Laing are best known for their Old Malt Cask, Douglas of Drumlanrig and Old and Rare series, all of which are sourced from single casks from distilleries around Scotland.
