Parasaurolophus means 'near crested' lizard. They lived in the Cretaceous period in what in now North America (similar dinosaurs were also found in China). They gre up to 9.5 meters with a skull length of 1.6 meters and weighed 2.7 tons.

Parasaurolophus is one of the rarer duck-billed Dinosaurs. The bill had hundreds of teeth, and allowed grinding of tough plants. Parasaurolophus foraged for food on four legs but in defence would run on two.
