This colour has been strained of damaging properties and can be used in body care applications to enrich the feature of other colours in various products. For example, colouring soaps and colouring cosmetics such as nail polish.
This colour has been recognised to be steady in soaps and will not change its appearance in cold process or melt-and-pour soaps. It also gives consistent colouring batch to batch.
One of its problems though is that it has a tendency to clump and you will need to be extra attentive to de-clump before adding to your recipe. To de-clump beforehand, use a hand mixer to pre-mix your colour with a deodorised fixed oil, such as olive oil, before adding to your soap. By doing this, you will be able to completely dissolve and prevent a bunch of clusters.
The coloured oil can now be added to the soap batter at trace when making cold process soap. For melt and pour soap, the colour must be thoroughly mixed with glycerine to get rid of flecking. Then, add it to the melt and pour soap.
The 15g option is packed in a clear vial while larger options come packed in resealable ziplock standup pouches.
Warning: There may be a hazardous reaction of the product with metals, such as aluminum, magnesium, potassium, zinc, lithium, sodium etc, at high temperatures.
