The vineyard itself traces its roots back to the early 1900s, when the land was originally subdivided and allocated to returning World War I soldiers, adding a layer of history and authenticity to this modern Australian Shiraz.Grown in the warm, dry climate of South Australia’s Riverland, where low rainfall, mild winters and fertile sandy loam soils provide ideal grape-growing conditions, the fruit was harvested at optimal ripeness between 13.5 and 14.0 Baume to ensure full flavour development and balanced tannin structure. Careful row selection allowed only the best parcels to be included in the final blend, helping deliver both richness and consistency throughout the wine.During winemaking, the grapes were fermented on skins under controlled temperatures to maximise colour, flavour intensity and varietal character.
