Description and specs
We designed this kids' ski helmet to protect the heads of babies learning to
ski or sledge for the first time. Baby safety when sledging/skiing.
#### Which product is compatible with this kid’s ski helmet?
This baby ski helmet is compatible with Lugik goggles. The goggles strap is
worn over the ski helmet and passes through the helmet hook. The hat is also
specially designed to be worn under the helmet.
#### Why is this kid’s ski helmet sold with a hat?
The hat provides protection against the cold according to one's need and the
weather. This hat can also be worn alone when it is no longer necessary to
protect your baby's head during your winter sports activities: sledging or
skiing.
#### How do you adjust this kid’s ski helmet?
The adjustment wheel plays a key role in keeping your baby's helmet secure.
This system can be easily and precisely adjusted at any time using the easily
accessible dial that you can even use with skiing gloves. It also provides
comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the
left to loosen.
#### What does European standard 1077-B (2007) mean?
The 1077-B (2007) standard is a European standard that applies to the helmets
used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding, or
similar groups (recreational sledging). This standard tests the ability to
absorb shocks and resistance to penetration.Category B helmets can have better
ventilation and provide better hearing but protect a smaller proportion of the
head and provide less protection from penetration.
#### How do you to choose the size of a kid’s ski helmet?
Measure your child's head circumference in centimetres (around the middle of
the forehead and just above the ears). Then choose the size that covers this
measurement.Example: your baby has a head circumference of 46.5cm, so they
should try a kids’ ski helmet in size XXS 44-49 cm.Take plenty of time to try
it on properly. Your child shouldn't feel any areas of discomfort. If they do,
try another model.
#### How do you know if a kid’s ski helmet is properly fitted?
When in use, the ski/sledge helmet must be properly fitted and adjusted:* It
is essential to choose the right size.* The head circumference must be
adjusted using the thumb wheel.* The chinstrap must be properly adjusted. It's
a bit like the seat belt in a car: if it is too loose, it will not perform its
function and your child will be less protected.
#### What are the conditions for returning personal protective equipment (such
as this kids’ ski helmet)?
